About Joe

I'm Joe, a business administration student at MTSU with a focus on economics, finance, and military science. Alongside my studies, I've served in the Tennessee Army National Guard since 2015, deploying twice and growing into leadership roles through varied environments. Between full-time classes, full-time work, and over a decade in uniform, I've built a wide range of experiences that shape how I approach challenges and opportunities. This portfolio is where I share projects that push my curiosity and creativity beyond the classroom.

JOURNALISM 2720 Assignments

This website serves as my academic portfolio for JOURNALISM 2720 - Digital Media Practices at Middle Tennessee State University. Each project represents a graded assignment completed as part of the course requirements:

  • Photo Essay (Week 4) - A visual storytelling project using a series of 8-10 photographs with captions
  • Audio Story (Week 9) - A 1:30-1:45 minute audio news feature with full transcript
  • Video Story (Week 15) - A 1:30-1:45 minute video news package with captions and full transcript
  • Final Project (Week 16) - This complete website portfolio with all revised projects and a 250-word reflection

All assignments include full accessibility features including captions and transcripts. Pages for assignments that are not yet completed will automatically be hidden until they are published. This ensures that visitors only see content that is ready for viewing and meets academic standards.

The website is built with standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and is hosted on Neocities. It features a responsive design that works on both desktop and mobile devices.
